Sixth Post: Video
Dec. 6th, 2009 03:29 pm[A grinning Engineer comes into view, his hardhat slightly askew, and grease/oil stains covering his face and the collar of his shirt, effectively hiding any red underneath. Despite the odd stain and scratch on him, he's beaming from ear to ear.]
Now, that was a mess o' work! It took me a few days longer to figger out the problem, but I fixed 'er right up once I did.
Turns out I didn't get my calculations wrong for the synthesizer, I just used the wrong system! I thought I needed to use a whole new system to make the proteins, considerin' the difference in function between a ham sandwich and a bullet.
It never occurred to me to think of 'em as the same thing on a molecular level! Using the dispenser's default synthesis program with new calculations got the job done, all right.
Ladies an' gentlemen of Discedo, may I present to y'all: workin' food synthesis.
[the video feed spins until it's facing something that looks like a large soda machine on steroids. With a grunt, Engineer kicks it, starting it up, chuckling as a thick porridge pours from a nozzle into a bowl. Once it's done, he holds it up to the camera.]
I know it don't look like much, pardners, but this stuff's got plenty of nutrition in it. It's only a matter of time before I start making good food with it. Doc, Sniper, Soldier, Imoen, Lucca...
Ah, heck! Anyone who wants to try it, come on over!
